After they are selected, the Ambassadors will have sessions on public speaking, motivation, communication skills, hospitality, etiquette, and training about the history, mission, and programs of Wayne Community College, Wayne County, and WCC Foundation.
Some of the services the ambassadors might provide include giving campus tours, hosting campus activities, recruiting students, speaking to community groups and agencies, representing the college at events, assisting with registration and orientation, assisting with Foundation activities, welcoming groups to the campus, and assisting with student activities. Ambassadors would be expected to perform these services in both the day and an occasional evening or weekend.
