Federal Requirements 4.7: Publication of Primary Accreditor

The institution publishes the name of its primary accreditor and its address and phone number.

Judgment of Off-Site Review Committee:  Non-Compliance

Comments:  The committee finds that the institution publishes the accreditation statement in the WCC General Catalog, the WCC Student Handbook and on the two areas of the College’s website cited in the narrative.  The statements published on the website do not include the address and phone number.

The onsite committee should review statements published on the website to determine compliance by inclusion of the address and phone number of the primary accreditor.

College Focused Response:  The committee found that the institution publishes the accreditation statement in the WCC general catalog, WCC Student Handbook and on the two areas of the College’s website cited in the narrative.  However, the statements published on the website did not reflect the address and phone number of the Commission.  Both the WCC homepage and the Spring Semester 2005 course schedule did not include the Commission’s address and phone number.  The WCC homepage has been updated to reflect its primary accreditor and phone number along with the Summer and Fall Semester 2005 course schedules, the printed copies of the WCC General Catalog and the WCC Student Handbook.

As a result, the college certifies compliance with this federal requirement.
