Please make requests for reference service, help with searching online databases or making interlibrary loan requests to the Erwin Library Circulation Desk (919.739.6891, or ext. 6891 on-campus) during the library hours of operation; your call may then be transferred for more specialized assistance to the Reference Librarian, or other staff member such as the Interlibrary Loan Technician. After hours requests may be sent to email at wcc-library@waynecc.edu.

Requests from faculty to schedule an information literacy session presented by Erwin Library staff to your class, a library tour, or an hour’s use of the Library Literacy Lab by your students for a specialized research session should be sent directly to the Reference Librarian using the online Library Information Literacy Session/Tour Researvation form, by email at wcc-library@waynecc.edu or by phone (919.739.6890, or ext. 6790 on-campus).

Though requests for sessions or tours may certainly be done by submitting the Library Information Literacy/Tour Reservation form online, a follow-up call is strongly encouraged. Verifying the availability of the Library Literacy Lab and staff assistance is necessary before considering that scheduling of any research skills session or tour is final. Special requests to pull resources or tailor the research session for a certain subject area is also very welcome, but some lead time is needed to make sure your needs are met.

Requests from WCC faculty or teaching staff members to set up or revise the content of Academic Reserves may be directed to the Reference Librarian as well by email at wcc-library@waynecc.edu or by phone (919.739.6890, or ext. 6890 on-campus).

Suggestions for the purchase of books, audiovisual materials or periodicals made by WCC faculty, staff, or other library patrons should be directed to the Reference Librarian in person, by email, or by phone, who will verify bibliographic information, then forward the suggestion to the Director of Library Services. Please provide personal contact information should you wish to be contacted about the status of such a request, and you will be notified promptly.
