The institution has a clearly defined and published organizational structure that delineates responsibility for the administration of policies.
Judgment of Compliance: The College certifies COMPLIANCE.
Narrative:
The Board is responsible for setting policy as defined in North Carolina General Statutes 115D-20. The President has the authority for the administration of board policy (By-Laws of the Board of Trustees, Article II, Section 6, c and d).
The President provides a clearly defined organizational chart that is published in the WCC College Procedures Manual for the implementation of board policies and the rules and regulations of the State Board of Community Colleges.
The administrative structure for each operational area is depicted on the organizational chart. The Administrative Council serves as the primary support to the president for administering college policies. The purpose and authority of the Administrative Council are found in CPM 01-0201. The composition of the Administrative Council is found in CPM 01-0202. In addition, college standing committees (CPM 01-0301) provide administration and policy recommendations to the Administrative Council and to the Board, if appropriate.
