Judgment of Compliance: The College certifies COMPLIANCE.
Narrative:
Wayne Community College publishes and disseminates to the campus community a comprehensive set of student rights and responsibilities. The published document includes the following: student rights, student code of conduct, disciplinary procedures, sanctions, appeals procedures, and student grievance procedure.
The “Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Judicial Procedures” document (which has been adopted as policy) is contained in the WCC College Procedures Manual. Students are provided access to this document through the following:
- The document is printed annually in the Student Handbook. The handbook is disseminated to students in two courses: ACA 111 College Student Success and ACA 118 College Study Skills courses. It is also available for pick-up in the SGA Office and through the WCC office at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Education Center for those students attending classes at that location. The Student Handbook is also available on the college website.
- An abbreviated version of the document is printed in the WCC General Catalog. The catalog is available to students for pick up in the Admissions Office and the Counseling Services Office, is mailed upon request, and is available on the college website (Link requires internet connection.).
- Separate printed copies of the "Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Judicial Procedures" document are available in the Counseling Services Office. A copy of the document is enclosed in mailings regarding a student appeal.
