Judgment of Compliance: The College certifies COMPLIANCE.

Narrative:

The college has a clearly defined and published mission statement, appropriate for an institution of higher education and specific for a comprehensive community college. According to the mission statement, the college "serves individuals, business and industry, and other organizations with quality, economical, and convenient learning opportunities." The mission statement specifically addresses teaching and learning when it states that the “the college strives to:

a. Develop both personal and marketable skills in all students
b. Develop basic learning skills in all students
c. Enable students to continue their education at other institutions
d. Increase the global and cultural awareness of students and community”

The college’s mission does not include the traditional higher education purposes of research and community service, but the college does conduct institutional research to enhance student learning and improve the operations of the college.
