e-Notary Course:

This course provides instruction to individuals who want to become commissioned as an electronic notary. Topics include legal, ethical and procedural requirements of the Notary Act as described in N.C. General Statue 10B Article 2.  Class Cost:  $75.00 (Registration and Student Workbook fee).  Pre-requisites: Student must have a current notary commission to participate in the e-Notary training.  For more information, go to www.secretary.state.nc.us/notary. Student workbooks will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of class.

Upon completion of this course with a passing exam grade of 80 percent, a person is eligible to make application with the NC Secretary of State’s Office.

Notary Public:

This course instructs individuals wanting to become commissioned as a notary public or those up for re-certification. Topics include the Notary Act’s legal, ethical, and procedural requirements as described in N.C. General Statue 10B Article 1. Pre-requisites: Student must be at least 18 years of age; reside or have a regular place of work or business in this state; speak, read, and write English language and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Upon completion of this course with a passing exam grade of 80 percent, a person is eligible to make an application with N.C. Secretary of State’s Office.
