Professional Licensure
Certain Wayne Community College (WCC) academic programs prepare students to sit for applicable licensure and/or certification examinations in North Carolina. In order to comply with U.S. Department of Education regulations regarding distance education and professional licensure, WCC is required to make the following disclosure with respect to professional licensure or certification outside the state of North Carolina.
Students should contact the respective department at the College to discuss program enrollment and professional licensure options. The following table includes contact information for WCC programs which can lead to licensure.
If you are considering a program at Wayne Community College that leads to licensure or certification and you do not live in NC, please contact the prospective program of interest to make sure that it will fulfill the state, in which you plan to practice, requirements before beginning the program.
Some programs at Wayne Community College lead to a license and/or certification in North Carolina. Beginning July 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education regulations require disclosures for all programs leading to a license or certification. Below are program specific documents that indicate whether the program curriculum meets state educational requirements for licensure or certification, does not meet state educational requirements for licensure or certification, or a determination has not been made.
