The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities spring lecture series continues with “Gurus, Prophets, and the Problem of Charisma in American Politics” presented in partnership with Carolina Public Humanities.
Molly Worthen will give this lecture on Monday, March 24, at 5:30 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium located inside the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on campus with the flag poles in front). It is free and open to the public to attend.
Worthen is an associate professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a freelance journalist. She will speak about charisma, power in leadership, and religious impulses in a secular age.
