Foundation of WCC Lecture – How Baseball Became as American as Apple Pie

The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities fall lecture series continues with “How Baseball Became as American as Apple Pie” by Matthew Andrews.

Presented by the Foundation of WCC and Carolina Public Humanities, this lecture will give historical commentary on baseball’s influential role in modern American mythologies and new perspectives on “America’s pastime.”

Andrews’s lecture takes place Monday, Oct. 21, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on the College’s campus. It will also be livestreamed on the Foundation of WCC’s YouTube channel.

The event is free and open to the public to attend.
