The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities fall lecture series continues with “How Baseball Became as American as Apple Pie” by Matthew Andrews.
Presented by the Foundation of WCC and Carolina Public Humanities, this lecture will give historical commentary on baseball’s influential role in modern American mythologies and new perspectives on “America’s pastime.”
Andrews’s lecture takes place Monday, Oct. 21, at 5:30 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium, located in the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on the College’s campus with the flag poles in front). It is free and open to the public to attend.
