Wayne Community College will host an Operation Medicine Drop session 12:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 in Room 161 (“Seminar Room”) of the Wayne Learning Center (main building).
For those who can’t come to the in-person event, a drop-box will be provided outside of the WCC Campus Police Office 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday, March 20 and 8 a.m.-noon on March 20.
Members of the public can turn in expired and unwanted prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, and pet medications to be properly destroyed. No questions will be asked and identifying information on containers will be obscured.
Students in the college’s Pharmacy Technology program will staff the college’s event along with representatives of the Safe Kids Wayne County coalition. The event is sponsored at WCC by the college’s Safety Committee.
The collection is held in conjunction with Safe Kids Wayne County and the Goldsboro Police Department in observance of National Poison Prevention Week March 19-25.

March 20, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center, 2001 East Ash St., Goldsboro;
and date later in the week TBA at Dudley Christian Church, Dudley.
