The Wayne Business and Industry Center (WBIC) has scheduled several activities to recognize this year’s National Small Business Week, May 1-7.
“We have planned some sort of free seminar or event every day next week to support small businesses and entrepreneurs in Wayne County,” said WBIC Executive Director Craig Foucht.
The seminars are
Boots to Business (for U.S. military active duty, dependents, and veterans only) – 9 a.m.-1 p.m., May 2-3, Walnut 104 on the Wayne Community College campus in Goldsboro and online;
Business Tax Essentials – 2-4 p.m., May 2, online;
Gaining and Retaining Customers – 2-3:30 p.m., May 5, online; and
Buying and Selling a Business – 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., May 6, online.
Individuals can register for these seminars online.
Small businesses that are interested in working within the federal market can participate in the Regional Military Small Business Outreach and Vendor Event on May 4 at the Maxwell Center. Get details about the event and link for registration at www.ncmbc.us/nov10sboe/.
