A Wayne Community College class will hold a car wash this Saturday to raise funds to feed those in need this Thanksgiving.
WCC Basic Law Enforcement Training Class 77 will wash cars for monetary donations from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 14 on the college’s campus at 3000 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro. The cadets will wash, rinse and dry vehicle exteriors only in a drive-through process that will maintain COVID-19 protocols.
In case of inclement weather, the alternate date is Nov. 21.
Contact for the car wash is WCC Public Safety Division Dean Beverly Deans. She can be reached at 919-739-6798 or bdeans@waynecc.edu.
The funds raised from this community service project will go to Hope for Goldsboro for its “HopesGiving” Thanksgiving Day meal give-away.
Information about Hope for Goldsboro can be found at www.hopeforgoldsboro.com. Individuals can also contribute to and volunteer for the HopesGiving project on that site.
