Wayne Community College and local first responder agencies will hold a special ceremony to remember the sacrifices of others.
“Honoring Our Fallen Heroes” will commemorate Wayne County first responders (law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS workers) who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The event will take place on Wednesday, May 1st at 6 p.m. in WCC’s Moffatt Auditorium located in the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on campus with the flag poles in front). It is free and open to the public to attend.
“It’s important for us not to forget the sacrifices these individuals have made,” said WCC Dean of Public Safety Angie Blizzard.
