Veda McNair has rejoined the Wayne Community College Board of Trustees.
She was appointed by the Wayne County Board of Education on September 11 and installed on the college’s board on Sept. 14, just in time to attend a committee meeting.
McNair had been appointed by the Wayne County Board of Commissioners for three four-year terms, serving from 2005 to July of this year, and was the board’s chair for the last year of her tenure.
McNair is a veteran educator who retired from Wayne County Public Schools after serving as principal of Eastern Wayne Elementary School. She is currently a success coach at Spring Creek High School.
