Pan-Hellenic Council Donates to Pantry

The Gold-Wayne Pan-Hellenic Council spearheaded a collection of goods from its member organizations for the N.O.W. (No One Without) Food Pantry at Wayne Community College.

WCC Associate Vice President Renita Allen Dawson, (left to right), WCC Director of Student Activities Paige Ham, WCC Minority Student Success Coach Chad Evans, and WCC Academic Skills Coordinator Michael Bloom accept some of the donations from Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity representative Rashad Hinnant, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority representative Tracy Lewis, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority representative Edith Hugee, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority representative Denise Thomas, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority representatives Nancy Wooten Coor and Ernestine Wooten, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity representative Gene Thomas, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity representative Dr. Michael Johnson.

Food, beverages, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies were donated by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,  Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

WCC’s pantry, which serves students at the college, is run by F.L.O.W. (Future Leaders of the World), a student organization. Evans and Bloom serve as advisors to the group.
