Wayne Community College will offer a course that prepares students to be personal home care aides.
“Direct Care Basics” focuses on non-nurse aide personal care tasks and soft skill development. Students receive an introduction to basic nurse aide skills, functional concepts within the nurse aide role, enhanced soft skills training, and career counseling.
It will be taught 2-5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, May 31- Aug. 9.
Wayne Community College Continuing Education Services is providing this non-credit course. It is a Human Resources Development class that is fee-waived for qualifying individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or have received notice of layoff or pending layoff.
WCC’s Human Resources Development classes provide education and training for individuals to succeed in the workplace.
