Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices McMillen and Associates Realty has donated $1,500 to the Foundation of Wayne Community College for scholarships for the college’s students.
The contribution was made in memory of Hubert “Hugh” Andrew Creech, a retired McMillan Real Estate Group employee who passed away in June of this year.
For years, Creech had combined two of his passions, golf and Wayne Community College, as a volunteer on the organizing committee for the Foundation of Wayne Community College’s annual golf tournament. That event is the major fund raiser for the foundation’s scholarships.
The Foundation of Wayne Community College is a non-profit organization that works to broaden the base of community support for educational opportunities at the college. It awarded 647 scholarships worth more than $400,000 for the 2017-2018 academic year. In addition to providing financial support to students, the Foundation funds mini grants and employee recognition, and offers cultural programs for the community.
