Students entering 14 technical programs at Wayne Community College may be eligible for renewable scholarships.
The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s “Top Programs” scholarship is designed to encourage students to study and go into certain fields in which there are career opportunities. The programs included on the list are assessed annually.
Those majors are Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Automotive Systems, Business Administration, Collision Repair and Refinishing, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Management, Information Technology Business Support, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory Technology, Office Administration, Pharmacy Technology, and Public Safety Administration.
These scholarships provide full- or part-time in-state tuition and fees to qualifying students pursuing one of the designated diplomas or degrees at the college. Students must be in good academic standing and have partial or no financial aid to cover tuition.
The deadline to apply is April 30. The scholarship is renewable by re-applying each year.
