Small Business Center Offers Free Seminars

The Wayne Business and Industry Center’s Small Business Center has a full spring schedule of no-cost seminars for aspiring or progressing entrepreneurs.

The seminars are:
* The Best Small Business to Start Right Now! – 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15;
* Boots 2 Business – 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 15-16 (for active duty military, their dependents, and veterans only);
* Getting More Business with Facebook Paid Ads for Business Owners ­ 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24;
* So You Think You Want to Start a Business – 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29;
* Hot Marketing Ideas for a Small Business – 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19;
* Marketing Research and Marketing ­ 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21;
* Marketing Your Business ­ 6-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 6;
* So You Want to Start a Non-Profit ­ 9:30-11:30 a.m., Thursday March 14;
*Boots 2 Business ­ 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, March 19-20 (for active duty military, their dependents, and veterans only);
* How to Develop a Mobile App Today! ­ 9 a.m.-noon, Friday, April 5;
* Writing a Business Plan for Current and Future Small Business Owners ­ 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 11;
* Risk and Time Management ­ 9 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, April 16;
* Introduction to Drones ­ 6-9 p.m., Monday, April 29;
* Understanding Key Provisions of the 2018 Tax Reform ­ Noon-3 p.m., Wednesday, May 1; and
*Boots 2 Business ­ 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21-22 (for active duty military, their dependents, and veterans only).

There is no charge for any of these seminars. All will be held in Room 101 or 104 of the Walnut Building on the Wayne Community College campus.

The Small Business Center is a component of the Wayne Business and Industry Center (WBIC) at Wayne Community College. The WBIC offers “on time” and “on target” training, counseling, education, and technical services to business and industry in Wayne County. It involves all levels of business and professional organizations in the local community through four main avenues: the Small Business Center, the WORKS Initiative, Military Business Center, and Customized Training Program.
