Two Wayne Community College staff members are winners in the 2019 Wayne County Reads Writing Contest.
Tiffany Cleveland, a Transitional Programs for College and Career Admissions and Records specialist, took first place with “Rose-Colored Glasses” and Elizabeth Watson, a librarian, placed third with “I’d Rather Hold the Baby Than Eat.”
The contest sought essays on personal memories to complement Wayne County Reads’ exploration of Tara Westover’s book Educated, which is a memoir.
The two women, and second place winner Roddie Hoyle, were presented Books-A-Million gift cards as prizes.
