Still Time to Enroll, Register Before Fall Semester Starts

July 24, 2017

Students who want to take classes at Wayne Community College when the fall semester starts in two weeks can still sign up.

Open registration for fall college credit courses will be held 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Aug. 15 and 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Aug. 16. A complete schedule of fall courses can be found at www.waynecc.edu/course-schedules/.

Before new students can register for classes, they must complete the enrollment process, take any necessary placement tests, and be accepted to the college in order to register for classes. The steps that new students need to take are explained at www.waynecc.edu/apply-now/.

Classes offered on campus and the base, as well as online courses, start Aug. 17 and end Dec. 15.

Tuition and fees are due Aug. 16 for those who register in August.

Most WCC students qualify for financial aid such as grants and scholarships. The first step in applying for financial aid is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is available in the WCC Financial Aid Office or at fafsa.ed.gov/. When students apply for financial aid, they are considered for all aid programs administered by the Financial Aid Office.

The college’s payment plan is another option for those who cannot pay the full amount out of pocket. Find details at www.mycollegepaymentplan.com/waynecc.

An orientation session is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. on Aug. 9. New students can register for it by going to www.waynecc.edu/orientation/.
