Wayne Community College’s annual job fair is moving to the new convention center.
The Wayne County Job Fair, organized by WCC Career Services, will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Maxwell Regional Agricultural and Convention Center which is located next to the college on Wayne Memorial Drive.
The event is free and open to the public. Veterans and WCC students will be given priority entrance with identification.
Several dozen businesses and agencies are expected to participate.
An “Interviewing and Job Fair Tips” workshop will be offered prior to the opening of the fair, at 9 a.m. at the convention center. That session is free to attend also.
Companies and organizations that wish to participate can register through www.eventbrite.com. Cost is $50 for businesses and $25 for nonprofit organizations and includes two lunches in addition to exhibit space.
Event sponsorships are available for $100.
