Wayne Community College will hold its annual job fair in April.
The Wayne County Job Fair, organized by WCC Career Services in partnership with the Wayne County NCWorks Career Center, will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Maxwell Regional Agricultural and Convention Center.
The Max Center is located next to the college on Wayne Memorial Drive.
The event is free and open to the public.
Up to 50 businesses and agencies are expected to participate.
A “Job Seeking Skills” workshop will be offered prior to the opening of the fair, at 9 a.m. at the convention center. That session is free to attend also.
WCC Career Counselor encouraged the job-seeking public to “update your resume, dress for success, and come out to the county’s largest job fair.”
Companies and organizations that wish to participate can still register through www.eventbrite.com. Cost is $50 for businesses and $25 for nonprofit organizations and includes two lunches in addition to exhibit space.
