Two Wayne Community College employees and a student were honored during the recent North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals District 12 conference.
Janeil Marak was named the North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals District 12 Administrator of the Year.
Marak, chair of the college’s Dental Department, will be the district’s nominee for the State Administrator of the Year Award that will be announced at the organization’s state conference in March 2018.
Theresa White-Wallace, the administrative assistant for the college’s Arts and Sciences Division, was installed as the District 12 vice president for 2018-19.
WCC student Sarah Nan Edmundson received a District 12 Staples Scholarship in the amount of $500. Edmundson will use the funds to complete her Associate in Arts degree at WCC.
