You don’t have to miss out on learning just because you can’t go to a class on the Wayne Community College campus.
Through its partnership with ed2go, WCC Workforce Continuing Education offers hundreds of affordable online courses that range from career and certification training to personal and professional development.
For just $70, students can learn to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Outlook, or how to budget, save and invest. In six weeks, they can learn how to play guitar, photograph nature, help elderly parents, use humor, handle medical emergencies, meditate, blog and podcast, or start a pet sitting business. All of these are instructor-led courses.
Series and suites of two or more instructor-led courses on a topic, like QuickBooks, grant writing, or digital marketing are available as bundles that cost $120 to $180 and run longer.
ed@go also offers self-paced courses that run three months and cost $100. Some course titles in that category are “Genealogy Basics,” and “Managing Web Design Projects,” and “Growing Plants for Fun and Profit.”
Course categories are arts and design; business; computer applications; computer science; construction and trades; health and fitness; hospitality; information technology; language; legal, math and science; teacher professional development; test prep; and writing.
Successful completion of a course results in Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
New course sessions start every month.
