Niche, an online platform that connects students and families with colleges and schools, has ranked Wayne Community College at No. 2 on its 2024 Best Community Colleges in North Carolina list.

WCC’s sister community colleges that earned slots in the top five are Randolph Community College (first), Blue Ridge Community College (third), Stanly Community College (fourth), and Craven Community College (fifth).
WCC’s spot at No. 2 on the state ranking positions the College at No. 37 on Niche’s 2024 Best Community Colleges in America ranking.
The rankings are based on analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education and other sources along with reviews and ratings from students and alumni. This year the rankings used updated methodology to better evaluate economic mobility.
