Wayne Community College is partnering with Fayetteville State University in the four-year school’s Bronco Benefit guaranteed transfer initiative.
FSU established the Bronco Benefit transfer program to create a supportive and seamless process for students graduating with associate degrees in approved transfer degree programs who meet the university’s transfer admissions requirements to gain a direct-entry pathway to FSU.
Through this agreement, WCC students can complete at least 30 credit hours in their associate degree program before transferring to the university to complete their bachelor’s degree.
“We are excited to partner with Fayetteville State University and give our students access to the Bronco Benefit,” said WCC Vice President of Academic and Student Services Brandon Jenkins. “The Bronco Benefit will provide yet another choice for expanded access to higher education for Wayne Community College students that is affordable and semi-close to home.”
FSU will offer WCC transfer students significant savings on tuition cost through the NC Promise Tuition Plan. As an NC Promise school, FSU’s tuition has been reduced to $500 per semester for in-state students.
WCC is now one of 16 community colleges in the state to join the Bronco Benefit transfer program.
“The Bronco Benefit initiative is a true example of creating intentional pathways for our transfer students and adult learners not to just begin their journey, but to complete their journey,” said FSU Chancellor Darrell T. Allison.
