Wayne Community College will host a part-time job fair on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
It will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Atrium of the Wayne Learning Center, which is the building on the main campus that has the flag poles in front.
“Now that our students have settled into their fall classes, many of them will be looking for part-time employment opportunities,” said WCC Director of Career Development Elvira Johnson. “This event will bring together local employers and WCC students, alumni, and community members.”
A variety of employers will be present at the event, such as Hamrick & Galanis, PLLC; Skill Creations, Inc.; Crossroads Auto Group; The Ice Storm; Fastenal Company; UNC Health; Worrell Construction; Goldsboro Wayne Transit; TA Loving; and Butterball.
The fair is free and open to the public. Registration is not required for attendees.
Job seekers can also use the College’s online career services platform, College Central Network. Once they register, users can search open positions, upload a résumé, and create a shareable portfolio to showcase examples of their work for employers.
