WCC’s Allied Health Graduates Pinned at Ceremony

Wayne Community College’s Workforce Continuing Education Services held a pinning ceremony to recognize the fall graduates of its Allied Health programs.

Graduates from WCC’s Nurse Aide I, Dialysis Technician, Phlebotomy, and Pharmacy Technician programs received pins and certificates to mark their transition from students to healthcare professionals.

WCC President Patty Pfeiffer shared the significance of the pinning ceremony and what it represents for the graduates. “Their achievement, their success, and their hard work has led them to this moment,” she said.

During the ceremony, graduates with the highest grade point average in each class were recognized. Nurse Aide I graduates Isis Mosley, Susan Santos-Diaz, Anna Gorgon, Hannah Lee, and Emma Dawson; Dialysis Technician graduate Abigail Garcia; Phlebotomy graduates Jemima Velasquez-Morales and Marelyn Alvarez-Hernandez; and Pharmacy Technician graduate Courtney Creel were honored for this achievement.

WCC Vice President of Workforce Continuing Education Services and Community Engagement Renita Dawson commended the graduates for giving themselves the gift of education. “When we look out and see all these smiling faces of our students and the family and friends gathered to support them, it makes us really proud,” she said during the ceremony.
