Be a Nurse. Make a Difference. The Practical Nursing curriculum prepares you with the knowledge and skills you will need to provide nursing care to children and adults. Students will participate in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Preparation includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical practice.
We also offer an Associate Degree Nursing program and an Advanced Standing program for Licensed Practical Nurses who have already graduated from a Practical Nursing program and want to obtain an ADN to become a Registered Nurse.

Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) that is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Employment of licensed practical nurses is projected to grow.

Technical Standards
In compliance with the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act, the following standards have been established. According to the nature of the work required in nursing practice and the educational requirements of the nursing curriculum. The student must be able to meet the following:

Employment: Employment opportunities include hospitals, rehabilitation and long-term care, home health facilities, clinics, and physicians’ offices.
Salary: The median annual salary for registered nurses was $47,480 per year as of May 2019, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, though conditions vary by area.
Job Responsibilities: A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a dependent role of nursing, and works under the supervision of medical providers and/or Registered Nurses (RNs). They perform various nursing skills and duties such as taking vital signs and collecting other assessment data. LPNs collect lab specimens, administer medication, ensure patient comfort, and reporting the status of their patients to the RNs. They follow a plan of care developed by the RN.
